RSS Worker Sharath murder case: Two PFI activists arrested; IGP says premature to link to two
Mangalore: Two PFI activists have been detained by the Mangalore police in connection with Sharath Madiwal murder case.
IGP P Hrisekaran, during a press conference said, the arrested Abdul Shazi (36) from Haladi of Sajipa, Bantwal and Khaleelullah (30) from Chamrajnagar have been detained but it was premature to link the duo with the murder case and that four to five persons connected to the case are at large.
The arrested were produced before the court and are presently in police custody.
It may be recalled that Sharath, an RSS worker was attacked by uidentified men on 4 July and was shifted to hospital by his friend Abdul Rauf had succeumbed to injuries on 8 July.
Since then, two Parliamentarians Shobha Karandlaje and Nalin were seen demanding for NIA investigations in to the murders of RSS workers. Reportedly the Shobha Karandlaje had sent a letter to the Union Home Ministry with a list of RSS victims who have allegedly been murdered by PFI activists, but later the list was exposed overturning the allegations to be a hoax as one of the listed victims was still alive and that several victims enlisted had died of suicides or murder for personal enmity.
