Karnataka Rakshana Vedike took out rally; urged Police Authority for action against those who haven’t labelled their stores with Kannada titles
Bangalore: And the struggle to save Kannada and its culture is On. Several pro-Kannada organizations have been relentlessly working towards saving and promoting Kannada language in the state.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KaRaVe), a pro-Kannada social organization, held a massive public march, crossing through several wards of the Hebbal Assembly Constituency, spreading awareness about tagging their boards with titles of Kannada. Many commercial establishments have been asked to ensure their boards to be printed in Kannada.
After the conclusion of the People’s March, Karava leaders submitted a memorandum with the Assistant Police Commissioner urging the authority to take legal action against 58 commercial shops/stores for not entitling their boards in Kannada.
As per the statements delivered by Kannada Vakkoota leaders, there has been conspiracy in practice against Kannada language and the Kannada flag.
The rally was led by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike State President Praveen Kumar Shetty. Bangalore District President Shivanand and other office bearers were present while the memorandum was handed over the to the Assistant Police Commissioner in Hebbal.
The same day, Kannada Vakkoota leader Vatal Nagraj held a huge conference entitled “KANNADA BAVUTA SAMMELANA” at Woodlands wherein Vatal strongly urged for the present flag to be the Flag of Karnataka.
