Muslim Scholars met CM Siddaramaiah; Urged to address issues faced by Hajj Pilgrims
Bangalore: Renowned religious scholars from Muslim community, under the leadership of State Cabinet Minister Roshan Baig, met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at his residence Krishna.
The delegation of scholars urged the CM to immediately address the issues pertaining to immigration, customs, etc. being faced by Hajj Pilgrims during the pilgrimage. The delegation will also send out a letter to the ministry of finance and the home minister.
The scholars held discussion about holding elections in the waqf board for its smooth functioning, to which the CM assured the appeal would be taken care of.
The scholars delegation has been asked to organize a state level conference.
The delegation comprised of Ameer e Shariyat Moulana Ashraf Ali Baqavi of Arabic College Bangalore, Imam va Khateeb of Jamia Masjid KR Market Moulana Maqsood Imran and others.
