new Delhi. Jed RAD Al Hussein, the High Commissioner of the United Nations Human Rights Organization, has strongly condemned India for planning India’s return to Rohingya community.
Keeping his report in the 36th session of the Human Rights Council, Jed Rad al-Hussein said, “I strongly condemn the steps being taken by India to send Rohingya Muslims back to their country, when their country (Myanmar ) Are oppressing them.”
Explain that there has been a lot of controversy for some time since the Rohingya refugees who have taken refuge in many countries of the Indian subcontinent, fleeing from Myanmar. While some countries are desirous of sheltering the Rohingya community, many countries do not want to give shelter to Rohingya Muslims, who have entered illegally, including India.
Jed Rad al-Hussein said that 40,000 Rohingya Muslims are refugees in India, out of whom 16,000 Rohingyas have obtained refugee certificates from the United Nations.
Referring to the statement regarding the International Law of the Indian Minister of State, Jed Rad al-Hussein said, “India’s Minister of State for External Affairs had recently said that since India has not signed the International Refugee Treaty, India on this issue International law can go out and is not tied to human compassion. ”
Let us state that the Minister of State for External Affairs, Kiran Rijiju recently said that international organizations should not lecture India in the matter of refugees. Rijiju also said that Rohingya Muslims are illegal immigrants in India and, according to the law, they have to go back.
In order to send Rohingya Muslims back to Myanmar, the Union Home Ministry had issued advisories to identify all Rohingya Muslims living illegally in all states and Union territories in the past week. Advocacy has also been told to threaten Rohihya Muslims. It should be known that when Advisory was issued, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a Myanmar tour.
Al Hussein further said, “But on the practical ground, due to being a part of the International Civil and Political Rights Treaty, he is obliged to follow the Universal Principle to follow the whole process and not push the refugees into the mouth of death. Therefore, India can not perform mass exile or send the refugees back to such a place, where they have oppression or other serious harassment There is a danger of getting it. ”
