Namma Bengaluru Habba – ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಬ್ಬ, a Grand Cultural Fest to Create Awareness about Preserving Environment
Bengaluru: A grand cultural festival Namma Bengaluru Habba ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಬ್ಬ (Our Bangalore Festival) has been selebrated at Sankey Tan in the city to create awareness on preserving the environment.
The festival was organized by the Karnataka Tourism Department, a group of about 20 artists have performed traditional Yakshagana, drum dance and theatre. Several street musicians, magicians, jugglers, caricature artists and painters too had attracted with their enchanting performances. The visitors were fortunate enough to cruise around the lake with fly boards and jet skies.
Information Technology, Biotechnology and Tourism Minister Priyank M. Kharge said in a statement, “As environment protection is a cause of concern, it is events like these that will create awareness among public and lead to greater sustainability.”
“It is great to see so many people participating in support of the cause. The fest is a community building activity to preserve Bengaluru’s ecology,” Priyank Kharge added.
